What is Diabetes?
Diabetes is a disease which occurs due to the glucose level, say blood sugar level goes too high. Blood glucose is your main source of energy that you get from the food you consume (eat). The absorption of blood glucose or blood sugar (commonly said,) by cells of the body could not happen cause diabetes.
Insulin, a hormone secreted by the pancreas is the main cause of transfer of blood glucose to your body's every cell. Insulin helps glucose from food to absorb and transfer to each and every cell of the body which results in energy provided to your body to perform daily tasks.
Sometimes, your body couldn't able to produce much enough or any insulin. Now, the insulin is not secreted by the pancreas or produced some which result in the settlements of blood glucose into the bloodstream and not being transported to the cells.
Over the time, having too much of glucose in blood and lack of insulin can cause health problems. Although diabetes has no cure till, But you can take some steps to manage your blood sugar (diabetes) and stay healthy.
And also take this disease a serious one and do every possible thing you can do to control your blood sugar level.
What are the different types of Diabetes?
There are most common two types of diabetes, But in reality it is of three types
Type 1 diabetes
Type 2 diabetes
Gestational diabetes
Type 1 diabetes
In type 1 diabetes, your body could not produce insulin. At the time your immune system attacks and destroys all the cells responsible for the production of Insulin in the pancreas. Type 1 diabetes is mostly seen in children's and young adults. But it could appear people of all ages. People with Type 1 diabetes have to take insulin (by insulin injection form) daily to stay alive.
type 2 diabetes is the most common type of diabetes of all types that occur in nearly all the people.
Type 2 diabetes
In type 2 diabetes, your body does not make insulin or say not able to use insulin well. Also, you can develop type 2 diabetes at any stage of life even in the childhood stage. Well, this type of diabetes mostly develops in people of middle-aged or older people.type 2 diabetes is the most common type of diabetes of all types that occur in nearly all the people.
Gestational diabetes
Gestational diabetes can mostly develop into pregnant women's. Probably, this type of diabetes goes after the baby is born.
But, if you had gestational diabetes during pregnancy then, it is their chances you can develop type 2 diabetes later in life. Also found that sometimes diabetes diagnosed during pregnancy is actually type 2 diabetes.

Less common type diabetes is monogenic diabetes that is an inherited form of diabetes

As of 2015, 30.3 million people in the United States, or 9.4 percent of the population, had diabetes. More than 1 in 4 of them didn’t know they had the disease. Diabetes affects 1 in 4 people over the age of 65. About 90-95 percent of cases in adults is type 2 diabetes.
Who can develop Diabetes?
People in the age group of 45 years or older can develop type 2 diabetes having a family history of diabetes or are overweight. Yes, your grown weight can also be the cause of you developing diabetes. Blood pressure or physical inactivity can lead etc, can lead you greater chances to develop type 2 diabetes.
You have chances to develop diabetes if you have pre-diabetes or gestational diabetes when you were pregnant.
What all health problem can we develop due to Diabetes?
If you have overtime high blood glucose (high blood sugar), you can lead to these problems -
Heart disease
Kidney disease
Dental disease
Strokes
Nerve damage
Eye problems
Foot problems, etc.
